Rain, Rain Don't go Away

Today was Raine's wedding day. I started the day by wrapping our gift with a slutty red foil. The scotch tape thinking that this was sacrilege won't just stick even if we covered the whole side of the box. So without any choice we were forced to ask our neighbors if they have a giftwrap. Yeah they do. It was a white one with Terrenos written all over it.
Beggars can't be choosers.
And anyway the tapes sticks just fine.
Later Nana, being the bridesmaid, was fetch by the groom for early preparations. Me and Yen will be coming along later night.
"Ching, wear a gown.", was Nana's reminder to me. Ewwww. I hate my gown. It clings.
Later afternoon. Yen came with Ivy, Ann, and Grace. I was like "That's semi-formal". Yes. No gowns for me. So I wore my slacks and a red tube. And oho we were late for the wedding. We came in right behind the bride. And to our dismay we found that our table was occupied by some old people. The only vacant tables were on the next room. Ivy said that we are like outcast. Which started me singing God help the Outcast from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. We weren't able to see whats happening on the main room. Yen, Cha and Ate Rose passed the time taking pictures of themselves. Ivy was making fun of everybody around us [especially the groom that she said looks like Shriek. But she made it sound good by saying that Raine's ex boyfriend, Carlo, looks like a monster]. Anne was checking our phones. While me and Moi was just sitting there staring off at space.
After two hours of ceremony came the best part. Food. Cool people that we are we let the other people get in line before us, eventhough we were almost salivating. Later when hunger got the best of pride we went in line. And found out a horrible things.
We could only have one tempura. Aww.
And they ran out of icetea. And glasses it seems. And waiters too. Because they can't even give us a glass of water even if we were already choking to death.
I even harrassed one waiter for a glass of water. When he arrived bringing one, I declared my love for him and almost kissed him, which scared him off. And I don't even like drinking water. And I don't like men.
See that? That's desperation.
Weddings can be despairing.

Wanna Have a Cookie

Woke up at four in the morning. An hour later me and Isnit were ready to drive Yen to school. With a minor problems concerning Yen's untimely bowel movement we were forced to drive faster than usual.
After picking one of her tardy friend, almost ran a chicken over, got lost on Trinity's grounds, and screaching to a complete stop at the front gate, we dropped them both with two minutes to spare.
Then we got home, in a much slower pace, Nana was already eating breakfast. Joining her, we ate some insignifant food. Later Alain came down too and said his goodlucks.
With only an hour to ready ourselves we move with haste. Nana, who was game, was decked in pink. From head to toe. And wearing a skirt that stops mid-thigh. I was in casual with boots. Isnit was wearing a black polo, which he consistenly check for flints, and his chains. And to our surprise, quarter before seven, Roy came and wearing his what we call "roy-outfit". Seven on the dot came Raymund. Then a minute later we went off.On the way to WTC we passed some of Roy's detours. By 8:10 we were at the WTC and was a bit surprise by the horde of people standing in line. We also found out later that some of them were waiting in line since five in the morning.
Fanatics.
After parking the car we just stood out front and waited for the doors to open. We stood there for more than an hour. To help pass the time we talked of all types of topic. From the game Utopia to Shera to her noble steed Spirit... which was a cracker. We are cracking up like loons.
Later due to our boredom and complaining feet, we decided to go in line. After passing all through registrations and passports [for leaving the sane planet and going to another dimension] we found ourselves inside the convention center.
Welcome to the geek community!
And then we saw the chairs. We could have wept for joy.
The program was fast-paced except for the long speech of the vice-whatever lady. Then without further ado, the championship began. The Renegades where all decked in a pink shirt. And I do think that that factor help them loose the game.
Actually I think they never won a single match. The only highlight or memorable moment was on their second match when the only player left was their knight who surprisingly survived six Asura Strike and has the gall to giggle about it. But then he too was wiped out.
Our disappointment was huge. It was so huge that we became hungry.
After match four we thought of going home. But first we need to find Ginox for his Chips Ahoy cookies that I brought for him. While waiting for him to find us we went to the Shadow Maiden booth, where Khaloy bought a mug.
And I saw some of my neighbors there too.
When Ginox came, I gave him his cookies and said that we are heading on home. But of course we were curious on how the F8 guild people looks like. So we went back and waited for Ginox to find his shopmates.
While waiting for Ginox to find them we saw Ran/Trishan. I run off and told Roy [who has a major crush on him]. And of course Roy went to Ran and had some chitchat time.
Career! That's what we were screaming in our minds during those moments while I was ogling the acolyte-jesus-rocker-christ and Raymund his assassin guy.
The first person that was introduced to me was Arnis and Genoscythe but all I saw was Arnis. Then later I had to pee so I dragged Nana to the ladies room. When we came back Gino left telling that he'll be back in a moment. He'll just look for our guildmates. His "in a moment" was about three matches long. During that time Nana was telling us about the episode a while ago when Ginox was calling her "Lana" how many times and she was just staring at the wall before it cut through her mind that she was the Lana Ginox was calling. Later we watching the match we noticed this random guys wearing Renegades shirts passing us by. Then sitting in front of us and reading our nametags. Khaloy and Nana noticed it. I, as usual was oblivious. Both of them noticed the group pointing and whispering, "Aeons".
Yeah. Obviously, Ginox found the guild and told them our location and he let them swarm around us like flies around a carcass. We, were unknowingly, were the carcass.
He left us there to be stared at. Like freaks.
The bastard.
After the third match when I think they already had their fill in staring at us, they came over and introduced themselves.
F8_player/ Kuya Rey was a tone whiter than the rest and of meduim height. Elephunk/ Darrel was thin, talkative and gay. JV/ Kusanagi was small, fat, shy and dark. Shin Kyo/Kusanagi was taller than JV, shy, dark and nondescript. Ryan/Burzum doesn't look like Richard Guttierez at all, he was tall, not fat, and dark. We even shared a low-five. Rap is tall indeed and very thin and have a very narrow shoulder. JR was medium height, lean, dark and again nondescript. Micheal/Michael was a total kid. Small and thin. Rome/Michael/Bulaklak was hiding behind his cap and paper fan. Rex/ F8_Rian-blood was tall and big and nondescript. Idoy was of medium height and dark. And my hubby RO-wise is short and dark.
I could see a genetic resemblance here. Maybe they breed people like that in Valenzuela. Who knows.
During one of the short breaks we decided to roam around. I was supposed to buy a Deviruchi cap for Nana and Khaloy was to see if Chip and Cheese [sounds like a chips with dip] were there. But our quest was in vain. They ran out of Devi cap and the guys weren't able to come.
After round eight we decided to head on home and have a decent meal. Waving a hasty goodbye to our guildmates standing at our back, we scram for the exit. But we were waylaid when someone grabbed my arm. It was Kuya Abe.
What a nice surprise. After some chitchat. We headed towards the exit with more determination than before. Oh glory be. We are out.
Then after eating at KFC, Roy made a dash for glory too.
Much later, back at our house we decided that we are tired and it's much better if we just watch My Wife is a Gangster 1 & 2. Unfortunately our DVD was stubborn on playing just Constantine.
Blast it.
So when boredom came, hunger strikes. We, out of the blue, decided to go to Eastwood to eat supper. So we drove that far just to eat. OJ's is good. We were able to see Jericho Rosales [this is my second sighting of him. All in Libis.] and his co-star for his upcoming movie, Heart Evangelista. I think nobody was in awe when they saw them.
Later we drove Isnit and Raymund to their drop zone and head for home. Again.

Back from the Wilderness.

I'm back from the wilderness called Tayug. Where you can feel the scorching sun, the dry heat and the layer on your face that you once thought was face powder but to your dismay it was dust.
And again I'm sick. Physically. Not mentally.
It was a hectic day. From the place of my birth to Urdaneta to Caloocan to Sm North to Cherry Foodarama in a space of seven hours.
Sm, to watch Batman Begins. We weren't able to catch the opening so we had to wait half an hour so we could see the start of the movie... which last for only three point fourty-six minutes.
What a waste of time.
Then we went for groceries.
Then fed Aeon her five-day course.
Then just chatted for the rest of the evening on RO.

Belated

Today is Ate Nida's post birthday celebration. She is now 33 years old.
I'm sure the number makes her cringe. Or trigger her bout of morning sickness.
Imagine. You, nearing the age where you can say you almost reached half of your life. Or maybe, you already passed it. We'll never know until it's too late.
Before the sun came to it's peak, Isnit came. Since the newly brought TV doesn't have an audio-video jack and primetime noon shows sucks, we just sat there and brood. Brood about world domination or our non-existent love-life. Before siege time Raymund came.
Later, after we left Isnit playing Flyff, me and Raymund went to the corner street and played there for a couple of hours. Then went home and saw the party almost starting. Upon enterring the house, Ate Rose called out in a singsong voice, "Ching, si Tonton oh".
I was like "huh?". And for the whole duration of the party Ate Rose was at it.
Much later when Tonton was about to leave, Ate Rose was pushing me to be the one who's gonna see him out. I was like... "whatever". So nudging Tonton, I accompanied him to the gate.
Then half an hour later, Tonton texted Yen saying that he likes her. He raves on about her beauty, her face that can be a model, her friendliness, her down-to-earth attitude, her being so nice...
Okay stop the press! Nice?! Yenyen nice?
Ha. Ha.
I think the guy got it bad. All I could do was scoff and shake my head. It was like my crazy-fat-unkept-neighbor, Lilybeth, saying she was sexy.
Oh the horror!
And then as expected when the party was winding down... Roy came. Later, we decided that we should go out and buy booze. And Ragnarok prepaid cards. So we went to Cherry's. With me and Nana just wearing house shorts.
Where are our inhibitions, I ask you.
So each of us bought our own drinks. And Roy bought Meiji Macadamia.
Which he keep to himself. Not even a lick was spared for us. Us, his close friends.
The bitch.
At home was submerged our vodkas in a chilled water and waited for Joanne to arrive. But she never came.
Halfway in our drinks we started reminiscing about the time that we went to Temple in Makati. Then Roy made this very good impression of *ehem* that started us cracking up. It was really bad of us, but hell, it was damn funny.
After going through all our drink, Roy's mental alarm clock went off. It's time that he should head back home. Raymund said if that's the case then he should as well.
So we walk them to the village gate.
That leave us with only Isnit, our adopted. Back home we said that we should do dancing, which we did. Then later before midnight we lay on "The Sofa of Drowsiness" and waited for The Tale of the Twin Sisters.
We weren't able to watched it for it seems that we missed it. Aw. Me and Isnit were so ready to get scared shitless.
So the only good show we were able to watch was a magician who accidentally slap his hand on a uprighted four inch nail.

Spin Sin City

Woke up a bit early today. Well, early for me. And waited with an abated breath... the coming of Dad.
Yeah. Seems my life of perpetual indolence will be no more.
And later night we watched Sin City. Seeing Quentin Tarantino as a guest director I readied myself for excessive blood and gore. And I wasn't disappointed. The blood that was poured from the entire movie could make a vampire drool.
And could also make my father faint. Which explains the snoring I hear on my left.
Nana being herself kept asking me questions on the entire duration of the movie. Why is it in black and white? Why is there bit of colors.
Sigh.
I enjoyed the movie... though I couldn't say it for the others. It's like Chicago for them. They say it's all music and dancing. Uhuh...
And The Phantom of the Opera should be, what, techno?

Back from Nothingness

Dame Neith urged me to continue to write.
Yeah. Seems to be a pretty idea. Since I've just read that we must practice our brain or it will suffer athropy.
Hmmmm. Seems I'm nearing that stage. And this a good form of neurosize. Brain exercise. I think it's just a made up word.
Seeing the last few weeks of my existence, I could say that I could give sloth a new meaning.
I spent my past weeks staring at my monitor. No. I wasn't reading my mails. And if I was, it won't take me the whole bleeding day. Because no one writes to me. And if they do, I dont reply back.
Because I dont read forwarded messages!
And I found out that I have two blogspot.
And no, I'm not gonna link it here.
