That One Night (Bagina Literay Digest)

"You, my friend are just bored." Tim said to his friend lounging by the fireplace. "You need to get a life. You know what they say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."
Hearing his friend snicker, Jack gave a shrug and rose his brandy to his lips.
Getting no reaction, Tim came over and sat across Jack.
"You know, lots of women tripped over themselves just so that you would notice them. And some of them doesn't even bother to be subtle. And still, you don't give them the time of day." Taking a sip, Tim continued "Being handsome must have suck, huh? Being chased my women ranging from minors to old ladies must be tiring. Of course, being rich and comfortable doesn't help either."
For the first time since entering the penthouse Jack replied, "I don't have a need of them."
Giving a bark of laughter, Tim put down his glass. "Yet. What would the papers say if they knew their infamous playboy is living like a celibate monk for the past half year? They could have sold out their whole circulation."
"I'm not interested." Jack replied in a dead tone.
"Look man, you must forget about her."
Tim don't need to elaborate on who he was refering to. It was better if they don't say her name. Being brought up, Jack frowned into his glass.
"Come on, let's pick up some girls. My treat." Tim said generously.
Saying nothing, Jack twirled the brandy in his glass.
"If no one gets your fancy we could just go back here. What have you got to lose?"
"Just my morals, for being with you." Jack said.
"That's my boy! I know you have a sense of humor there somewhere in that corporate body of yours." Tim said while walking over to the front closet and pulling out his jacket.

Laura didn't know what came into her.
"Laura, you must be out of your mind. Obviously stressed from work got to you." She mumbled to herself.
The night was already deep. Laura slowed down the car. She was nervous as a cat.
Slowing down the car, she peeked through the heavy tinted window of her car. Looking about she became more nervous. "The place looks deserted." She mumbled again, unconciously gripping the wheel. "Oooooh! If I went all through this torture and found out that later that Phil gave me the wrong place... I'm gonna wring his neck and more."
