The Prodigal

There's a new lead in the "Missing Cat" Investigation.
Nana and, her faithful aide, Ate Rose went around the village asking every house, where they got a break in the almost stagnant case.
It seems that the laundry maid of our neighbor caught Cookie and placed him in a box.
The backgate guard saw her.
The culprit maid, Nancy, brought Cookies near Grist, where cheap quality soaps are sold, where she lives nearby.
So the Nana and Ate Rose went there. But they where too late. Then Nancy, the theif, who had Cookie said that her children can't stand the stink [the natural smell of Cookie] and said that the cat was too thin that they released him into the street.
Looking at the streets, our Nana burst into tears, seeing it was hopeless for now she doesn't know where to start her futile searching.

Luckily by some scam or being a good Samaritan that he is, a guy who brought Cookie back, said that he found Cookie littering by the bridge near G-Mart.
So we paid him for being Cookies' hero.
But I still smell a scam.
